FOR SALE: FZS600 Renntec crash bars.
Posted by: apage16 - 12-02-14, 09:40 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (12)

I've got a couple of sets of renntec crash bars that I picked up in a shoddy state with the intention of cleaning them up, painting and selling on.

I've stripped them to bright bare steel, but I suddenly have no time to paint them.

So I was thinking this might be a good opportunity for someone to take a set and paint them yourself / have them powder coated to the colour of your choice!

There are no fittings. Just the bars.

Open to offers.

  GoPro helmet fixings
Posted by: phil on a fazer - 12-02-14, 05:27 PM - Forum: General - Replies (15)

Hi

i want to add some GoPro sticky pads to my Airoh S4 helmet which i use for off roading. i want to add one on the side and one directly on the top.

But the curved pads supplied with the GoPro arent quite the right curve? am i missing something here?

due to the curve of the sticky pad being a tiny bit steeper than the curve on the helmet, it means that the whole surface of the sticky pad doesnt come into contact with the helmet.

any ideas?

  FZ1S Alternator Problems
Posted by: philmarron - 12-02-14, 04:40 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (2)

2008 FZ1S 45000 miles used daily, cared for and serviced regularly.
Magnet on roter has detached whilst riding resulting in irrepairable damage to the roter/stator and regulator.
At least £1200  for replacement parts !!!
I'm told this is 'unusual' !!!
Has anyone out there suffered similar ???
Has anyone out there got a spare alternator they want to part with ???
Phil

Must remember to take the cover off the motorbike when I get home.  Otherwise it'll do a bit of kiteboarding....

  Bearing Press
Posted by: hightower - 12-02-14, 12:54 PM - Forum: General - Replies (7)

Love working in a school. DT department has just made me a bearing press ready for me to change my front bearings.

That's saved me a few shilling, or the need to have to find the right size socket to hammer it home.

Rentals will be available Wink
