Where have you routed your pipe?
I bought my Fazer 9 months ago and it had one already fitted, with the pipe tied under the swing arm, aimed at the outer face of the rear sprocket at the 6 o'clock position, just like in every online guide I've ever read (letting the oil hit the sprocket rather than the chain and therefore spreading more evenly). :\
I've regularly checked my chain tension and kept it around 35mm, but it has needed regular adjustment which indicates wear and stretching, something a scottoiler is meant to reduce.
A couple of days back my chain went a knacker (didn't snap luckily), and it looks like the scottoiler was only lubing one side of it, as the other side is rustier than a 2 year old Skyjet! :lol
So if you use a scottoiler, do you have any suggestions/advice as to where I should aim my pipe?

A slight problem
the oil feed pipe at the front of the engine is leaking, when I took it off it has had a bodge repair done on it in the past.
After cleaning it up, I soldered the hole up.
Alas it has started leaking again
any advice or help, as they want £70 for a new one
thanks

| Tank Museum Ride? |

I'll probably pay another visit to the Tank Museum at Bovington sometime this year, as I didn't take my camera last time and would like to get a few snaps. No date set as yet, but I'd like to do it when the weather is a bit warmer so I don't have to carry too much kit around the museum with me. Anybody interested in making a run of it - bit different to just a route ride?

My job gives me a great insight into road safety and this morning I found myself dealing with a poor HD rider that had came together with a small HGV. He was wearing an open faced helmet and is now a few teeth short and has a seriously painful jaw along with other injuries.
I'm not a law man so don't know the laws on lids but when is a helmet not a helmet? Or when does a helmet become a hat?
