  Fazer 600.carb heater pipes destination
Posted by: martynk - 02-04-21, 10:56 AM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (2)

Hi all
I am just refitting the carbs on the Fazer after an ultrasonic clean. I am having problems trying to remember how the carb heating is plumbed in.. I think

There is a pipe that comes from the radiator which I assume goes to the pipe that sits between carbs 3 and 4. see photos.  The problem is that I can't see where the other pipe that sits between carbs 1 and 2 goes to. I have a short Length of hose about 6 inches long but I am blowed if I can see or remember where it goes to.  The Haynes manual doesn't show ths in either the carb or cooling section.

Cheers

Martyn

Few Gen 2 Bits for sale
Posted by: Dudeofrude - 01-04-21, 04:24 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (3)

Right seeing as my Fz1 has gone I have a few bits knocking about that I need rid of. Hopefully useful to someone here

A power commander 3 loaded with a custom map
£100 ± P&P

Pillion Seat for the Naked model (different seat to the Fazer model) these are very hard to find for some reason ?‍♂️
£50 + P&P

A black exhuast hanger
£10 + P&P

Original Levers
£10 + P&P

Abba Stand Adapters
£10 + P&P

I also have an original tail light lens. That can go for free if anyone needs one? Just P+P

And last of all I have a set of Oxford Saturn LED indicators. I have the full set of 4 but in all honesty 1 of them is a bit crap (it's usable but would need glueing) so I would be selling them as a set of 2 but throwing in the other 2 for nothing. They would also come with some resistors if wanted.
£15 +P&P

So if any good for anyone just drop me a message ??

  Farewell Fazer
Posted by: Dudeofrude - 29-03-21, 10:31 PM - Forum: General - Replies (13)

Well I finally bit the bullet and bought myself a Kawasaki Z1000sx today, which sadly means my time with the Fz1 has come to an end.
I will be sad to see it go, its been an immensely fun (and expensive) 5 years but it's just time for something slightly more practicality and a lot less "look at me" haha

I plan on sticking around (if you'll have me ?) as 80% of my interactions on here have nothing to do with Fazers haha but also I'd like to hope that I've molded and messed about with enough parts of a gen2 that I'd still be able to offer some helpful advice to others ?

I think Ive got about 4 days until the Kwak comes so in the meantime I'm going to rummage through the garage and see which originals parts I have left to swap out so I may have some stuff in the for sale section soon

Anyway I look forward to enjoying the new stead ?

  FOR SALE: 2001, FZS1000, black, mint, £3k.
Posted by: bludclot - 29-03-21, 07:52 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (4)

The time has come to part with my Fazer.I've had it over 10 years and it's been my favourite bike by far, I hope that I won't regret letting it go. When Mike Falcon Ivanised it, his comment was "if it's not the best Fazer that I've seen it's certainly in the top three"...

Details:

  • It's done 27500 miles,
  • was MOTd last week,
  • wears an Akrapovic can (standard also available),
  • S1000RR rear shock (standard also available),
  • has a META alarm/immobiliser with a key fob conversion,
  • full history and everything else you would expect of a pampered dry weather toy.
  • It's mechanically perfect, rides like a brand new bike and gathers positive comments everywhere it goes.
  • Located in Fareham, just outside Portsmouth.
  • Price £3k
[I attached the photo's to the post, full sized versions can be found here & here - bkd]

Wanted one unmarked R and G Crash bung.
Posted by: Decoke Dave - 29-03-21, 05:41 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (2)

Long shot I know, but has anyone got one minty R and G crash bung for an FZS 1000?  Google "R and G Racing Crash Protectors for a Yamaha Fazer 1000"  and you will see the type I am looking for.
