fuel gauge fault - butthead - 01-04-21 my fuel guage is not reading correctly only just happened last ride , filled up to the brim yet the fuel gauge only read half way, after about 100 miles it then read near empty then orange fuel warning light came on , so im possibly thinking sender unit faulty ? anyone had this issue before ? also if it is sender unit where is that located , underside of the tank i guess ? TIA Re: fuel gauge fault - BBROWN1664 - 01-04-21 its in the bottom of the tank. Lift the tank and make sure the electrical connection is good first. High resistance will show and empty tank.
