Between not being tall and having dodgy joints getting on the fazer is sometimes quite a challange. I can get on it ok on flat ground but when slopes are involved I start to struggle. Given my knees I would also don't fancy reducing the distance to the pegs, if anything increasing this would be best (this is only an issue on longer rides).
I'm fairly light and won't be carrying a pillion so I don't think the back end being softer is much of a concern. I'd like to take it camping so may have kit on the back.
How much lower can you safely get away with?
Will lowering it make it easier to get upright on a slope? (this is sometimes tricky with a full tank plus tankbag and topbox). I was wondering if it being slightly lower would give me more leverage.
I saw this thread

but thought if I lowered the seat my knees might not thank me, lowering the whole bike would also lower the panniers if I got a pair.

my google foo is weak.
firstly, yes i know they are all cheating lying bastards.
secondly, the CLB's dealt with the mother-in-laws affairs when she died. after they had finally sorted it all out (18 months of procrastination) there was £3000 left over after their fees, which they put in a client account.
then the father-in-law died and after an initial consultation and an ESTIMATE of £10k + vat to deal with his affairs they were told they are SNLR.
anyway, the crux of the matter is they kept the £3k from the one estate until they receive payment for the reading of the will and quote for 'professional services'.
the money isn't an issue, it's the fact that they are using money from one estate that has been paid for as leverage (lien) against another bill. considering the F-i-l paid £1100 for the will (which apart from the basic 'he gets this and you get that' is 18 pages of unenforceable drivel) we are pretty miffed at their leech like attitude.
if a solicitor would like to pm that would be nice or just feel free to slag off our esteemed legal profession
