  Braking Question
Posted by: bigbluebear - 02-06-14, 04:13 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (5)

Was out at the weekend breaking in a new back tyre, as the miles added up so did my riding confidence but I noticed that my front brakes started squeaking under heavy braking. Back at world headquarters I noticed that the brake pads move slightly when pushed by hand and wondered if this was normal or the cause of the squeaking....any advice would be very much appreciated.

Wanted: Brake caliper for a Gen 1 Fazer 1000
Posted by: Fuzzygoth - 02-06-14, 03:30 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (2)

Just as I source and ignition barrel they garage phone to tell me rear
brake caliper is in no uncertain terms ... Stuffed. So I am trying to
source a replacement Blue Spot rear brake caliper for my 04 Fazer thou.

So far ebay and biker breakers have been no use and I am not keen to
buy a brand new factory caliper. I know it comes from the R1 parts bin
but I don't know if this caliper can be salavaged from say and old R1 or
other bike using the R1 breading system.

Cheers,
David P

  BIKESAFE Surrey
Posted by: FazerBob144 - 02-06-14, 03:20 PM - Forum: General - Replies (1)

Smile I attended a BikeSafe Surrey ride yesterday. 150 miles of police system tution, very relaxed, very good paced riding with loads to tips. The guys are bikers and just want to help us ride safer but still push on.
Excellent value for money. Thoroughly recommend this day out.

  Standard header refit
Posted by: justafaze - 02-06-14, 03:19 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (9)

What do you need to remove to refit a standard set of exhaust headers, I take it the radiator has to be removed?
Also anyone got pics of the exup cable routing as my bike was bought with the exup system removed except for the cable servo/motor.
I have purchased the Wemoto "slinky glide" cables they look quite good for the money, one of them has a black end and I was wondering if there is a difference between the two cables ?

Why would you do it but more importantly, why the hell did he get done? He was doing it in private and its not like the bike was complaining :pokefun

  4 berth caravan..
Posted by: ogri48 - 02-06-14, 01:16 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - No Replies

Any one following punkstigs lead to an alternative lifestyle.... Wink
Avondale hawk in very good full working order
4 berth, gas heating, cooker, hob, fridge,
Shower, theft ford c2 loo, spare tyre, mains leads for hook up, backup battery
20 years old but very little use, not used at all last 4 years
We picked thus up two weeks back from Gloucester, given to us by pennies mum and dad, but it's not for me.if there was a way of attaching the fz1 to it, it would be fine, but there isn't, so it's going to fund finishing and z1 paint for my old kwack
Cleaning it right up this week then it's going on e bay, but anybody here wants it, a grand gets it. Delivery possible
I'm fairly sure a gas fridge on its own is about 500 quid, so a " house" with one included for that money is gotta be a bargain... :rolleyes
