  FZ1 & FZ6 s2
Posted by: lew600fazer - 02-06-14, 10:35 PM - Forum: General - Replies (4)

Spoilt bastard that I am, I have an 09 FZ1S and an FZ6 S2 2010 mod (2013 first reg)
I have been riding the FZ1 mostly since I got her down from Scotland end of April. The wee fazer has been lovingly looked after and kept spotlessly clean, but not ridden.
Anyway decided to give her a run out today mainly to ask the dealer to book it in for its first annual service , just to keep it in line so the warranty remains valid.
Obviously first thing I noticed was how much down on power the 6 is compared to big brother. Hit the twisties and the wee 6 came into her own. Just so much easier to flick around than big boy. Maybe the ideal bike around here would be the FZ8? or maybe the MT 09? Um!!! both my bikes have for.s and againsts.

Oh servcing costs here in Spain €130.00 for first annual / 10,000 kms happy with that includes oils & filters etc!

  F/S Yamaha touring screen FZ6

Genuine Yamaha touring screen for 2006 era FZ6

Not that great condition, hence price.

One area 6 inch burnish/scratch, some spots of (paint?!) and three drilled holes per side for mra vario spoiler.
On the other hand, its the Yamaha one which I think is the tallest, it keeps the wind out of your dish and its cheap.
Stop-gap anyone?

£20 plus postage and ideas on packaging for this

Collection in London or Herts.

  From FZS600 to VFR800 instead of FZS1000?
Posted by: SteveMc278 - 02-06-14, 08:00 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (27)

Hi,

FZS1000 looses out on the nimbleness of FZS600 so how about a VFR800 (pre vetec) as a more logical step up from the trusty 600? Even though I like the 600 it can feel too light weight for example in blustery weather on faster roads.

Opinions from people who've owned all three bikes would be welcome?

Thanks in advance.  Smile

  FZS 600 Foxeye Lights
Posted by: msewelly - 02-06-14, 07:24 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (5)

Hi,

I know the fox eye lights are pretty good as standard, however is there a way to give the lights are brighter effect? I was looking at adding some white led's for sidelights, mainly for the look's.

Any ideas on good easy ways to upgrade the lighting?

  **BELOVED YAMAHA FAZER FZS600 STOLEN !! **
Posted by: FZSteely - 02-06-14, 06:52 PM - Forum: General - Replies (51)

Hi Guys,

It is with great regret and rage that I have to report my beloved Yamaha Fazer600 as stolen !! The Registration is R782 NFW. Please spread this as far and wide as you can and should you or anyone see it please report it to the police. It is a pretty standard bike but there are a few distinctive marks:

1) The oil cap has broken and the bike was stolen before I could replace it with the new one I ordered, so it looks like a cracked mess.

2) Both rear brake lights failed at the weekend, again stolen before the replacements could be fitted. I know it's not much to go on but that's the best I can do.

3) Grey paint stripe on the side of the rear tyre (for exactly this reason)

The bike was taken from the Wortley area in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Some of you may recall that this was a bike bought for me by my wife as an anniversary gift, something she saved long and hard for, she is even more pissed off than me!

Anyway I've attached pictures of the bike below and also included a Facebook link, please share to as many people as you can.

Kind Regards

James (1 pissed off Focer)
