R u sure the female driver had no liability at all. If by her actions she caused another roaduser to swerve or alter course etc, she may have some liability....??

Well said.  I wasn't going to be the first to mention the road rash.

Glad you're OK, mate, it doesn't look as bad as it could have been!
If these recent spate of crashes have taught me nothing else it's to wear my gear at all times, no matter how how short the journey is or how well I know the roads.  There's no accounting for other tossers on the roads.

Yous are totally right geezers, i used to be strictly all the gear all the time until complacency led me to make the decision that i was only going 2 mile to the mot station & back...bad enough in its own right but i did make it back.

The problem began when i drove passed my house to continue riding so going against my original plan so goes to show that no ,atter how small a journey, plans may change.

Its the same old story that people learn the hard way & ill now be one of those nagging bitches when people dont wear all the gear, although its still their choice in the end & we've all gone through this debate before.

The kit that i did have on, did work, gloves, helmet & jacket & gloves (helmet was covered in mud & grass from when i turned into a cow :D ).

The jeans may as well have been shorts & saved me the hassle of peeling the jeans off.

The rugged looking walking shoe/boots whilst better than flip flops still caused my toe to break & the shock went right up to my pelvis with my calf & hamstring muscles totally focced.

Ill get the bike back today & strip off the fairing& take a look at the bracket.

Is it worth buying one of those mini blow torch burners with a cannister from homebase to apply heat & then try chapping the bracket round with a hammmer????

We the Spanish Inquisition love a confession  :sex

As for the fairing and blow torch works....wouldn't bother the bike's totally screwed, frame bent, shot to shit etc You can tell from the pics  :rolleyes .

With the bike being fit for parts only can I have the tank, rad guard and end can - £25 delivered should do it  :lol

Welcome to the elite group where we introduce our selves to the ground and live to talk about it. I is still aching from my little meeting with the ground 2 weeks ago. Its a sobering reminder for me not to go out when I is tired.

As a  :faz lover it will not take you long to be back out there. Let the wounds heal, stretch and ride.

Got the bike back & stripped off the fairing,

Started up the engine & all is as expected running fine.

The fairing & speedo bracket is pretty well focced, bent at the stem & also on the right side, not quite a tiny adjustment required so ill try getting another one of those from somewhere.

I was pretty amased at all the gubbings that is involved with just a front fairing & since the original headlights are crap anyway i thought whats the point getting it back to that state at much expense.

I really want back on the road asap so im gonna go down the cheapest quickest route of getting a streetfighter fairing & headlight.

Heres a few pics anyway, i may as well update the thread since i cant do foc all else with myself :'(

I reckon if he got off his arse tomorrow, he could have it roadworthy in time for Sunday. He just doesn't want to pay for a brekkie!

So then Noggy, got some ideas?

Well i've stripped the front, ordered a small Motocross style fairing headlight, some bar end mirrors & hopefully soon some trick levers from China.
Mr Grump is luckily providing me with a straight fairing bracket which is lovely jubbly.
i really want to fit some motocross fork guards & give it a bi tof a supermoto look but i havent got round to looking into that properly yet.
so street bike it is
