a metalworker!!!! think you mean a machinist/fitter turner of the manual type. nothing fancy like cnc stuff.
sadly i dont make stuff anymore as i was made redundant about 3 years ago. BUT i do have a lathe & a baby milling machine. unfortunately as sh*t has hit the fan ive got a few personal things going on at the mo & ive not managed to get any of it set up. but when i do i hope to start knocking out stuff for a "laugh" again. lol!

tell me about it...........

i think the law must of changed coz it seems to that pedestrians dont have to look left & right anymore & think they can just step out into the road when a car/bike is approaching!!!
i nearly hit 3 people this week coz they didnt look & just step out in front of me. & what really p*sses me off is that when you beep ya horn, they give you that look as though its you fault!!!
so, maybe hitting her may make her think twice before crossing the road!

FZ6 / Fazer / Re: 1000 rear caliper on a 600
« on: 31 August 2013, 10:40:19 am »
I think you need to be in the FZS600 forum, Justy - the FZ6's caliper is not underslung

Only a small degree of filing performed on the mounting plate to make it fit - piece 'a' p1ss  :lol

well spotted mr kebab.  :rollin think it might of been a good idea to of posted this in the "proper" fazer 600 section.......... ;)

thanks for the replies. ill have play with it as soon as i get the bike back. :)

FZ6 / Fazer / 1000 rear caliper on a 600
« on: 30 August 2013, 08:00:09 pm »

ive read somewhere you can put a 1000 gen1 rear caliper on the 600 (boxeye/foxeye). ive managed to get hold of one.

now i sort of remember someone saying it needs to be filed down a touch so it fit. anyone done this mod on here? if so what exactly do you have to do?
ive not got the bike to hand at the mo to compare or see what i might have to do.

any help would be great.

thanks

« on: 14 August 2013, 06:52:31 pm »
is there an ignition cut off relay on the 2002 gen1??

ive look in the haynes manual & theres no ref to one in it so i googled it & nothing comes up on that either.

if it has, where is it located on the bike & what dose it look like?

sorry to hear you've had an off.  :thumbdown know how you feel mate. least ya in once piece though. ;)

I started the trend...  :'(

When Foccers go down, they go down in style...  :rolleyes Bad luck, Enceladus! Seems like the dammage list is you worst, followed by DeadEye, followed by me with Arfa at the end. Not good.  :'( :'( :'(

i had a bad one 8 months ago, (on my 600) where some dumb bitch opened her door without looking. & to top it all the cheeky bitch drives off & leaves me in the road! only went back to work last monday! :\ & as for the damage list, think i might be the worst by snapping the ball off the top of the humerus & having to have a plate & 14 screws!

still hasn't scared me off riding the bike. jumped back on it as soon as i could the arm. all ive done is change my route home from work. :rollin

its yamaha's official belly pan. you get a choice of with or without crash bobbins.  i dont think you'll find any info about um on the interweb. you might have to go to ya local yam dealer...........

brendo brakes????

nothing wrong with a bit of modding. its only your way of showing how you think the fazer should look like. (bit boring looking at say 10-20 of the same bike)

ive modded both my mk1 600 & gen1 1000. there is a lot more id like to do to them both but due to lack of machinery (lathe & milling machine which i had access to at my last place of work) & a bit of know how. so, i think im done.
