There are a series of checks and tests listed in the Haynes Manual, but there's too much to type out.

When did the bike last have a full (24,000 mile) service?

hi, haynes manual is for the old model, i have FI system, no carburators, full service check not exist in my country, Yamaha dealer only can assy the mirrors of the new models, I like to repair myself, and to know how to do it, study now all manuals, when I buy, change cables, clutch, tyres, all liquids, brake pads, repair forks, steering berings, filters, oils, only rpm cant fix, looks all is ok, no damages, termostat open in right time, I think the sensors are work, usually sensors work or not, no middle possibility

This is the Haynes Manual for the FZ6.

Here's a photo of the page detailing how to adjust the idle speed:

I don't know.

Checking the valves is a pretty big job, I'm not that experienced with this, so I'd leave it to someone who knows what they're doing!

Hope you get it sorted.

Synch the throttle bodies and set the TPS as a start point

I would check for air leaks (perhaps around the carb rubbers (yes I know you have FI) the ones which are between the throttle bodoes and the head.  Also, there are a load of small diameter pipes in the area so if you've had the tank up and airbox off to fit plugs, maybe you've nipped one.

Has the problem always been or did it start after you did something?
Just think how stupid the "average" person is.  Isn't it a worry that statistically approximately 50% of the population are thicker!

Hi, the sinch didn help, nothing change, also think for small hole somewhere on pipes. when I buy, was like that, 1600-1800 rpm, but was in good shape, no missing units, and is chalenge for me to repair all, my hobby, yeaterday see new situation, when start cold was 1800, shortly go to 1300, after return back to 2000 and keep them all day, so, what is set of TPS?

Faulty TPS usually effects the Idle speed.

There was a Yamaha recall on these bike to replace the TPS.

Download the FZ6 manual in the download section

http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php?action=down...file&id=10

On page 7-7 it explains how to go into diagnostic mode and you can check the operation of the TPS

Diagnostic  Code 1 should show 16
