this oil ok to use?

after clutch slip issues looked at getting some castrol gtx 10/40 part synthetic


any good to use on my fzs?

It says very plainly in White on Green at the bottom of the can "For petrol & Diesel Cars" does this not give you a hint :lol

You will find very few car oils are suitable for bikes these days due to the friction modifiers.  If looking online search for motorcycle oil and in the specification make sure it says JASO MA, MA1 or MA2 to show it is suitable for wet clutches. 

MA2 has a different set of additives more suitable for bikes with catalyst in the exhaust but any of them will be fine for a Fazer.

5 litres for the price of 4 so nearly get enough for 2 oil changes just have to buy 1 litre next time round

my partners mum offered to pick me some up from aldi as they have it for £4.99 per litre and shes paying  Big Grin was checking its ok to put in as my last car oil wasn't.

It is very simple,  :eek

A. For a car buy car specific oil  :rolleyes
B. For a motorcycle buy motorcycle specific oil :eek

haven't bought yet will be next week, ive never had issues with using car oil in my bikes ever but the fazer has taken a dislike to the coma stuff i used.

Don't do it Paul. For the sake of a couple of quid, get the proper oil. Like tyres, it's one thing worth spending that little extra on. It'll save you grief and expense in the long run. My opinion, maybe, but I really can't see the point, it's just not that much you save for the most important ingredient for your bike.

i know bike oil is favourable but as this was brand oil and free if it would have been fine to use then id say yes to it but ill get bike oil Big Grin
