If looking online search for motorcycle oil and in the specification make sure it says JASO MA, MA1 or MA2 to show it is suitable for wet clutches. MA2 has a different set of additives more suitable for bikes with catalyst in the exhaust but any of them will be fine for a Fazer. Re: this oil ok to use? - darrsi - 07-05-15 Or look for one with a picture of a motorbike on. :rollin Re: this oil ok to use? - darrsi - 07-05-15 If you're ordering online just buy this one, no point in trying to save £8 for a 6000 mile journey! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Motul-5000-4T-Semi-Synthetic-4-Stroke-10W40-Motorcycle-Bike-Engine-Oil-/371317089949?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item567439269d Re: this oil ok to use? - Jules-C - 07-05-15 (07-05-15, 03:10 PM)darrsi link Wrote: If you're ordering online just buy this one, no point in trying to save £8 for a 6000 mile journey! 5 litres for the price of 4 so nearly get enough for 2 oil changes just have to buy 1 litre next time round Re: this oil ok to use? - darrsi - 07-05-15 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Smith-Allan-Motorcycle-Semi-Synthetic/dp/B00FGRCLB8/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1431009751&sr=8-9&keywords=10W%2F40+MOTORCYCLE+OIL Re: this oil ok to use? - Paulfzs - 07-05-15 didn't give enough info haha ![]() my partners mum offered to pick me some up from aldi as they have it for £4.99 per litre and shes paying ![]() Re: this oil ok to use? - darrsi - 07-05-15 Still none the wiser? Have you got motorbike oil now or not? Re: this oil ok to use? - unfazed - 07-05-15 It is very simple, :eek A. For a car buy car specific oil :rolleyes B. For a motorcycle buy motorcycle specific oil :eek :lol Re: this oil ok to use? - Paulfzs - 07-05-15 haven't bought yet will be next week, ive never had issues with using car oil in my bikes ever but the fazer has taken a dislike to the coma stuff i used. Re: this oil ok to use? - nick crisp - 07-05-15 Don't do it Paul. For the sake of a couple of quid, get the proper oil. Like tyres, it's one thing worth spending that little extra on. It'll save you grief and expense in the long run. My opinion, maybe, but I really can't see the point, it's just not that much you save for the most important ingredient for your bike. Re: this oil ok to use? - Paulfzs - 07-05-15 will do ![]() i know bike oil is favourable but as this was brand oil and free if it would have been fine to use then id say yes to it but ill get bike oil ![]() Re: this oil ok to use? - nick crisp - 07-05-15 It's defo what I'd do :thumbup Re: this oil ok to use? - darrsi - 07-05-15 Or take the free oil and get a car. ![]() Re: this oil ok to use? - nick crisp - 07-05-15 (07-05-15, 06:57 PM)darrsi link Wrote: Or take the free oil and get a car.
