Got the 600 moted today and went out for a ride , all good most the day, but then on the way to the petrol station it started struggling and bogging with throttle wide open, pull the clutch and it dies ,
Pulled over and tried starting and it wouldnt , left it for 10 mins then she fired up and all good again,
I thought I must of has less fuel than I thought, filled her up and got back on the road , 1 mile later it happened again , bogging down up until it died again , again left it a little bit and it fired up again, but this time i was turning the key on and off and the fuel pump would tick a couple of times slowly but the last tried the pump tick tick tick ticked faster and it fired up.
What can be going on? Bad pump , bad relay , sucked some crap from the tank ?
Im stumped , been fine all day and then this , a bit wary of taking her out without finding the issue , starts up and idles fine now but who knows when I start going

Have you had the tank up recently? Sounds like trapped breather pipes. Next time it happens, try opening the fuel cap and then try starting it again

Thanks , I wish that was it but I don't currently have a breather pipe or overflow attached , they weren't on there when I recommissioned the bike

Sounds like choke is on, but know it can't be that simple Or have you checked the air filter.
Spray some carb cleaner through carbs as maybe gummed up.
A good thrash usually does the trick.
Yeah I'm hoping it just carb related just need the time to get them off ,
Would sticking floats cause this? I pull plugs 3 and 4 and they were white , looks like it was running very lean , I'm thinking maybe that's why after sitting for a while it runs ok for a bit after the floats had time to drop down , any thoughts?
Cheers

Cheers Not too sure, had a similar issue but just ran fuel additive through to try clean it out , made sure all cables were lubed as throttle connection at carb end was sticking, also checked the TPS and got new.
I'd check the carb rubbers for splits too.
My 99 runs fine after all that without having to strip carbs.
Good luck.
Sounds very much like stuck enrichment (choke) plungers. Check they're ALL fully returning, it only takes one to stick and the bike will die at anything above 4kish. Below that it will run as normal.
Later
Ok cool , so when I get back to the bike I'll check the choke plungers and pull the carbs for a refurb , I died on me when I dropped it at my council garage last night , same issue but definitely not running normally under 4k , just ran great for a couple miles then bog bog bog , could run with wide open throttle but slowly until it dies when clutch pulled , ended up pushing the last half mile , it fired up again when I got there but didn't trust it to ride back because the suspicion of fuel filling into the oil , the oil sight glass was full by that time , I don't want for canoe the engine , the bike means a lot to me, it came from a late friend and would kill me of it died l, I'll get back to all when I have the carbs at home on the bench
Thanks everyone

Bump!
So I have rebuilt the carbs and all was well for 20 miles then started hesitating at 8k rpm , then it went back to bogging down until a stop , let her cool down then rode fine upto 8k until home ,
Completely stuck with what to try next , could it be coils breaking down at high revs to the point it gives up the ghost until cooled down ?

next time it happens, try riding with the tank filler cap open

I assume your thinking blocked or kinked vent pipe, I've tested for that and never get any pressure build in the tank,
I have snipped 10mm of all the HT leads and refitted the plug caps and still the same , how do I test the coils with a multimeter , never done it before and not quite sure
