Ok, it doesn't look like anyone's going to get this, so would your old University be acceptable?

This is Mercantile House, part of Portsmouth University.

That isn't blue and I don't think it's anything to do with English Heritage  :rolleyes

Searched English Heritage site and he not listed for some reason.  I did find this http://blueplaquesguy.byethost24.com/con...8.html?i=1

When you click the link for English Heritage you get
https://www.english-heritage.org.uk/visi...-1888-1965 perhaps they've disowned him  :eek  or the one in the link about is a fake, or their site is buggered  :rolleyes

English Heritage only cover London, other areas of the country are run by local councils not English Heritage.

Red mate you need do go south into London, much shorter ride  :lol Wink

Ok, the fault is mine, I thought it was all run by English Heritage, but it seems they only do London, however there are similar plaques all over the country administered by various different authorities.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_plaque

So, since it was what I was thinking of, even if it wasn't precisely what I was asking for (and since nobody else has made an entry!), I'm still accepting it :thumbup

[smg id=3532 type=preview align=center caption="20210905 125234"]There you go a closer version, water towers are not the easiest thing to get in shot are they? (I had to stand in a ditch looking like a wierd predator to get the original)
I love the idea of the picture challenge, does anyone object if I blatently steal the rules and start the same on the TDM forum?Hey we all share the same clunky gearbox issues.....

Go ahead! I don't know if was original to FOC-U anyway, but anything that encourages people to get out on their bikes is a good thing :thumbup
