Hi (new fazer owner)
#1
Hi nice to meet you all,
I just sold my little 125 and purchased a fzs600 1999 model , I think the bike is beautiful and can't wait to ride her,

Mod1 end of the month then mod2 shortly afterwards

So all I can do atm is polish her and play with her , I changed the screen bolts for red ones and also the levers , going for a red/black theme , here's some pics, tell me what you think and any advice would greatly appreciated [Image: 39a4b4cb69bb7697f9316d83f59d82ad.jpg][Image: db8ef36ada4d79a1fbe56562a2caa0b7.jpg][Image: e3fec323812b6ef8520685cb816b6ce3.jpg][Image: 85b3455d13c46245c3945018ed5866cb.jpg]

Hello and welcome  Smile

Nice bike  :thumbup

The most important mod for the Fazer is to check the front sprocket nut. There has been upgrade to 12mm. If you decide to change it probably its good idea to change the chain and the sprockets too: http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php/topic,17673...#msg204017

The new nut is higher and looks like this almost level with the shaft:

Here is the old one note the shaft going above the nut few mm:

Good luck on the tests!

Where are you based?

Looked behind the sprocket cover and yup 9mm nut , will be investing in a 12mm on payday ,

The bikes done 27000 miles on the standard nut , what's the chances of it being one of the good ones?

Actually the chances are very good. Most likely you will be fine with the old 9mm nut. I would not go for nut only change job.

To me make sense to change it together with the chain and sprockets when you have a new ones.
