For gaud sake Paul leave the poor bike be it.

Have you considered the possibility for a few months just to check the oil and ride it only no mods  :lol

That is animal cruelty  :rollin :rollin

interesting that paul, always thought that theres a bit more power to come from the 600...fzr cam and some pod filters and with correct jetting you could be onto something  Wink
One, is never going to be enough.....

fzr cams would improve things, id imagine stiffer springs would be needed too....

the whole carbs thing as far as im aware hasn't been looked at that much and jetting hasn't ever found a good balance without adding big flatspots, i suppose adding fzr cams, pod filter or similar high flowing filter slightly larger jets and it may well run so much better...

problem being fzr cams are around £90 (fzs are £10-£15) then springs, + jets and filters then youre going to need a dyno...

i will do some research and post back..

I thought the allure of the FZS600 was it's impressive midrange, provided primarily by smaller 33mm(?) carbs.
What size were the FZR600 carbs?
I assume instead you want a bike with a fairly gutless bottom end and then taking off up the rev range like a two stroke hitting it's powerband? That's certainly what my 89 FZR600 used to do
This could also get quite expensive...

That´s the reason why I bought it  Smile
I think that any change like other cams or end cans will spoil that...
