I've just bought a mark 1 fazer and the rear caliper is seized solid. I'm after a replacement. Hopefully I'm going to strike lucky and find one off a fazer 1000, buy since beggars can't be choosers any will do as its currently off the road. Cheers.
Widen your search to include the XJR1300 from 2003 on, as the rear blue spot on those will fit also
That is vastly over priced and does not look in great condition.
Are you sure you own is not repairable.
Cheers for the response, ill carry on searching.
I removed the old one, split it, heated it, soaked it in wd40 and the only way to get it to shift was with 2 wooden blocks and hammer which was a last resort and not much use as it's made the pot go in not out. I cant twist or pull or anything, I tried blowing it off with a bike pump contraption I rigged up but that was also unsuccessful but I backed out at about 80psi scared. After 4 hours of messing about I thought a replacement would be the better thing to do.... I might try the pump again now its had the hammer treatment but dont want to be back doing this again in a few months.
Try searching on USA ebay, when anutz was looking for one, we tracked down a good one for him and even with the import tax etc, was way cheaper than getting from UK
Send anutz a message, I'm sure he'll fill you in with the details.
You said you tried the pump method, did you put a small bit of wood inbetween the pistons and have both sides on?

Ive sent you a link to one for $34.99 - he wants $55 for the postage then you will have custom charges but still not a bad price mate
Cuxoni, another option is to split the caliper and have the pistons pressed out.
