Can't get neutral
#1
Hey, so assistance needed please.

Even with clutch in I can't get neutral and it won't start in gear.

I think the cable must be too stretched and do not fully engaging causing the above.

Does that sound right? Any thoughts on fixing it?

Have changed the levers a few weeks ago so night try the old one in the hope it pulls it enough.

Help appreciated,

Haydn

Have you tried rocking it back and forward while changing gears? Is your chain very slack?

Got it in eventually. Chain is within the tolerance but at the lose end of it.

Think it might need a new cable as it's pretty slack and I'll tighten the chain as well.

Cheers

Check the clutch adjustment at the Sprocket cover side.

+1 to that.
Lower end first then tweak at the lever end.

Check the sprocket cover screws are tight. They have been known to unscrew giving the same symptoms as a stretched cable
