New lid time -givi xps 08 helmet

I did in may its at the end of that topic, and I am still liking it, would of been good to compare with the RPHA10 noise wise but it is quieter than my old so happy enough at that, but my old was 12 years old.

Recently picked up a schuberth s2, very happy with it. HelmetCity had them down to £350. Though Infinitely had a few down to £280 this weekend. Only down side with the s2 is my glasses steam up due to too much padding around neck.

I have been considering these for a while. My SR1 is barely two years old and still a superb helmet, but I fancy something with built in sun visor to avoid having to carry two visors. A lot of money though.

Loads of choice now in the built in visor option - every manufacturer seems to have one.

Incidentally after a month I am quite happy with the givi. Noiser than the C2 but good airflow and in heavy rain the visors shape is better for water to flow off.  The inner visor is also better than the C2's

Funny how loads of people slated the drop down visors (usually Arai fanbois) but now they seem to be really popular. I had a Schuberth S1, then an S1Pro, which I bought because they were said to be quiet. I also assumed the visor thing was a gimmick but it turned out to be really useful. I pretty much don't look at lids that haven't got them now when buying.

Got a Shoei GT Air now and I prefer it to the Schuberths on price, looks, fit, noise etc, though as someone posted earlier, noise depends on more than just a chin curtain.
