Hi all, just got my first fzs 600. It's a 2001 model in silver with 32k on the clock. Fairly high mileage I know, but it's in very good condition with loads of history and has been well looked after by the looks of it. Cost me a grand and so far I'm dead happy with it. Need to fill a small hole where the downpipe meets the exhaust and think the carbs need balancing as there's a bit of buzz vibration at a couple of spots on the revs, but apart from that it's all good. No doubt I'll be on here a fair bit finding things out!
Ha, yeah just looked through a load of posts and 32k doesn't seem that high now compared to others on here! Good to know these bikes go and go if looked after
Well done, it looks really well :thumbup . As others said 32k is good if looked after, i.e. oil changes. A slight buzz round about the 6k mark is quite common so don't worry about that but correct carb balance is always good. If you are going to use that disc lock I would get a cord on it to reach the handlebars as a reminder that it's there. Otherwise it will all end in tears :'( . Enjoy .
Ha ha, yes, already done that a few times with my old bike, though a 125 isn't going to tear it apart like this will! Got another disc lock with a cord already!
