:o :o :o.....ah yes, an update..bought some gas sunday morning and seam welded the cover....in short bursts at each end in turn to avoid distortion...re fitted and fits well...started to grind down the welds but can only do a little at a time as dont want to upset the neighbours.....will take to work tomorrow and finish at lunchtime, will post piccie aswell......too much time spent with the lofo's this weekend, got to be out riding when the weathers good

Bolted back on the bike.ned to re-route the wiring as plug dos'nt quite reach :o....it will with a bit of re-routing ......brackets will go on the inside of the cover I just need to make a clearence slot....not too sure if I like it or not, might try lifting the lights up a bit and change the angle of the clocks....looks right when sat on the bike ...

Mmmmmmmm....just looked at PAR6's bike, hes done a good job there and it looks right :thumbup.....think I'll lower the clocks and bring them closer to the ignition switch by using a tube spacer between the yoke and clock bracket and also rebore the bracket..........any comments foccers, good or bad, I'll read them all :lol
Sorry Paul, I don't like where they are positioned at the moment, as you say, they look ok from on the bike, off the bike the angle looks s bit too steep and there is too much gap between ignition and clocks. Bringing them closer in (and lowering them as much as you can with the space constraints) will make them look better. Once you do this you can decide whether or not the lamps need to move up a bit or not.
Sorry for not being positive, just being honest :o. Welding job looks really good though

hi mr willy....I bought this as a spares bike to sort out my stuttering 600...thats all sorted now so thought I would try to make something out of whats left.....no fairing so needed to do something with the clocks....not sure if this is the answer but its kept me out of trouble for a while........

hi matey.......thanks for your honesty, thats what I was after .....the reason I started with this position was to give plenty of room for the ignition switch.....working on my own holding the clocks and trying to see what they look like must have looked funny from a distance :lol :lol.....its a starting point, will lower them and see what it looks like....cheers paul

Not to keen on the lights but they may look better actually mounted on the back of the clocks. Making them quite high but would allow the clocks to stay where they are and bring it all together
Could you even change the clock case you made to become a clock/ headlight case
Women have chocolate men have bikes.....
including ones who like chocolate....
not 3 bikes mr willy.....five.....come on keep up :lol ........yeh,know what you mean about naked bikes, clocks were mounted on the renthals cross bar when i got the bike with the ignition switch behind :eek ....i shall have a rethink in the week .........small shed,no room :\
Cheeky foccer........change of plan on this now....bikes all back together now and ready for mot, when thats done iam going to stick it on ebay....two other projects on the go at the moment and I would rather spend my timd on those....all being well I should have time to take it for its test on friday afternoon
