Carb pressure
#1
I balanced my carbs today which went really smoothly thanks to the guide on here. I noticed that the carbs where at a pressure which was in a warning zone on the gauges. I've attached a photo so you can see what I mean.

Any ideas if this is a problem?

thats about right. Haynes quotes 230-250mmHg mate (and the 4 should be within 10mmHg of each other - the closer the better!) so you might be slightly low, but if its running ok I wouldnt worry about it

(you can adjust it slightly by winding all 3 adjustment screw in or out a bit, but then you will need to balance the carbs together again, so as said, if its running ok leave it)

Brilliant thanks so long as it's close enough. It's been running badly when starting up for a while now, I have to give it about 3k on choke for a while for it to warm up, even in summer! Otherwise it'll die. So I thought I'd start with the carbs see if there was a problem there seems as it's only at low revs.

I think next steps are checking the battery and then the air filter, I overfilled the oil a while back so it might be full of oil.
