rear tail
#1
Hi Folks

Im going to have ago at the rear tail on the gen1 soon, But i have a few questions.

I cannot see how the rear mud guard is attached to the undertray without removing it.

I understand it needs some work to do this and I can get a second hand rear undertray without the rear mudguard, Will this be of any use? As i dont want to hack my original up incase all goes pear shaped  Sad  Knowing me with plastic this is possible.

Thanks Lee

Rear undertray and mudguard are a one piece moulding, so the 2nd hand one you have been offered without the mudguard is either cut OEM or aftermarket

It's not really clear what you are trying to do.

If you are trying to remove the OE mudgaurd/undertray and replace with tail tidy here is a link to show you how to remove the OE mudguard (It also goes on to show you how to modify it).:

Allow yourself about 2-3+ hours to complete the job if you are fitting an aftermarket tail tidy/undertray and allow another hour if you need to move alarm boxes, seat sensors and Scottoilers.

Here's a Pyramid tail tidy I fitted at the weekend.

Here is an rsv4 tail piece i fitted to my tuono yesterday :lol  Sorry i couldn't resist! Regarding my fazer tailpiece i just used a dremel and cut away most of it and just left the indicator mounts and enough to mount the no plate.
