Yes, and yes. However, I suggest you set the TPS to the 5k standard position first and scribe a line between TPS unit and the mounting plate so that you can always return to that setting without having to lift the tank etc. Now experiment with the TPS setting as per Ivan's instructions to your heart's content.

Ill be doing mine soon as need new carb rubbers and carb balance, just wondering what tool i need to undo TPS?
