Indicator Flashing Too Fast
#1
So I've had this intermittent issue on my right indicator only, left is fine. Basically, it works sometimes as normal, then other times it flashes fast and the front indicator doesn't flash (rear does). Obviously it's not the bulb because it does work other times.

Sometime's if I leave it on it will flash fast for a bit, then normal, then fast.

It sounds like a loose connection, but I have had the indicator out the front before to have a look and couldn't see anything obvious - gonna be fun diagnosing/finding the issue.

It does sound like a loose/corroded connection somewhere.
(Just tell me to shut up if your good with electrics)
Start with the basics such as the multi plugs, fuse connection, and the relay. (my heated grips stopped working, and it was a corroded fuse!)
If they're ok,the it's trace the wires back and see if there's any breaks, splits or areas where they've worn through and touching metal.
Good luck with it!
Stop polishing it and ride the bloody thing!!

I'd say definitely a loose connection somewhere. The only reason the indicators flash fast is if one is not working, so that points to a loose connection.
Feel the Fear and do it anyway!

No Stevie, don't shut up. I'm absolutely terrible with electrics. I hate them

Check all connections, I would also check the bulb holder and maybe change bulb, I have seen bulbs with broken filaments that make contact now and again so work intermittently.
If you worried about falling off your bike, you'd never get on.

Start at the bulb. It's probably just loose or has a bit of corrosion around it

Start with the bulb first , swap it with the one you know that's working , then check bulb holder for corrosion , then check other connections .

Obviously the biggest issue is with it not being all the time. You think it's sorted, to find 2 days later that it isn't.

Indicators always flash at double speed when a bulb is blown/missing/etc..
It's the same with cars.

I know that, but the problem is the bulb is not missing (sure I've covered that already)...

Is the bulb missing?

And so have I, don't discount the bulb as a possibility...

You must have gone to the same electrical college as me  :rollin

Ok, so after I fit my stainless pipes tonight I'll try tying a brick around in first. If that doesn't work I'll change the bulb, and then start and trace it all the way back.
