Freshmeat anyone? - WARNING, contains graphic images
#21
I attended a bike safe course run by strathclyde police a few years ago, apart from the usual rider tips they introduced a paramedic who showed graphic pictures of what happens when you don't wear proper boots, trousers, jackets and helmets with images if each. These were designed to have maximum impact to drive it home on the importance of wearing proper gear. There was gasps from the audience from these images and both the police and the paramedic were glad from the reaction as it was meant to be hard hitting and show the reality of what really happens.

I unreservedly apologise if these images were upsetting to some and it was not done for entertainment purposes.

As in boots or me putting the ex wife on the bike and hoping she'll fall off?
Those are my principles...if you don't like them I have others.

When I did my direct access I walked into the office and the first thing I saw was a load of posters showing similar injuries. The very first lesson was wear proper gear!
Broken, bruised, forgotten, sore,
too fucked up to care any more.

Those other images were noting to do with not wearing a lid
One was wearing what looked like an ammo belt (non military) and was most likely shot
I don't do rain or threat there of. dry rider only with no shame.

While Im all for shock tactics and the OP is very shocking
look at the injust it looks more like a slice than ground away , still possible on a bike but I would question it !

I didnt see the other post but I am in aggreement blood and guts has its place but maybe not in the open sectionof this forum ,

There have been incidents on here in the past were clips of death have been posted bike related or not its still some one and open viewing is prob not the best place ,

Raz, think it's a de-gloving injury more than abrasion.
They do exactly what they say on the tin, skin gets pulled off like you would a glove.

Oi, pull your head in, bbb

He didn't continue having a go at you, just gave a quick description of what the pics were, which seems fair enough in saying why they were removed.

As it happends if it were a result of no lid I would of thought it right to put up.

Can we merely agree that they were gruesome, and leave it at that?

I had left it but he should get his facts right before assuming it had nothing to do with the topic and only for the shock factor.

I have apologised for posting them and they have quite rightly been removed for offending....
and I stand by that......now end of from me

Just found it strange that all flesh was removed from topside of foot and the sole seems to remain.
Also when the foots involved in bike accidents, the ankle usually takes a big hit.

Anybody can get any picture an attribute it to anything, it's the internet everything you see is true. Wink
