Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! What have I done to fucking deserve THIS?!
#1
And now the fucker has blown up on me! The RAC guy reckons it's either a compression ring or a cylinder liner. Either way, it's bad and certainly expensive. What have I done to deserve this THIS time? :'( :'( Sad Sad

If the RAC man is right, then the quickest (since you need it for transport) option is to replace the cylinder barrels and pistons or replace the entire engine.

If you can source the parts, I'm sure some foccers could help with the labour and tools... though having said that, are you back in the UK yet?

Really feel for you mate, what a crappy time you're having bike-wise lately. But, it's all character building - get through it, and look back and laugh later down the road. Wishing you better luck for the new year.

surely another bike would be better option. Remember along with engine repairs it still needs tyres

I guess - it depends on cost of the parts

I have no idea if you can even pick up a spare engine for that bike nor what it would cost. It was mostly a case of getting back on the road asap instead of cost. Granted a new bike is quicker for most people, but this is Christo. He is fussy. It would take. Forever.

And we'd have to listen to his constant deliberations, changes of mind, fretting over cost etc etc, so for focs sake, please take the quick option Christo :wink
