Replacement exhaust for a Gen 1 Fazer
#1
Hi guys,

looking for a replacement exhaust for my 2001 gen 1 Fazer 1000
.
I did have a quick look for a tread for this in the search but didn't found anything helpfull.

I don't want to spend anymore than about £250 on one and would prefer one with a removable baffle and not too noisy.

I have had Leovince and Fuel exhausts in the past and liked them also Remus.

So any thought or recommendations would be great  Smile

Akrapovic are the best exhaust system, but will cost £300 + unless you buy a used one. Scorpion cans are mid priced and  pretty good. I've got a stubby delkevic on mine, but the quality isn't quite as good as akrapovic, scorpion, fuel, arrows etc... But it was quite cheap and it was the look i was after.

Hey Nickodemon. Slight change of subject but what brand is your front Fender Extender ? I am looking for one that will adhere without having to put screws through my mudguard which it looks as if you have achieved.

Awesome looking Gen 1 by the way  8)
Yamaha Fazer 'the only bike you'll ever need' maybe ???

i stuck my front mudguard extender with tiger seal. no problems thus far.... i figured that if it's strong enough to hold body kit bits on cars......
is it clean enough?

I used a german make of silicone sealant that i used years ago and it's still attached Wink I will check the garage tomorrow to see if it's still there, as i can't remember the make. The hugger is a pyramid.

I've had Carbon Can Co slip-ons on mine, they were pretty good. Worth a look?

You can see the pics on my album  Smile

I've just got that for my Fazer 8 off flea bay. Looks good quality but haven't fitted it yet, but I reckon it will be nice sounding and loks good in pics I have seen of it. Smile

Glad you like the carbon can ones tho, they both looked good on the bikes and sounded good too.

I read a post on the aprilia forum about Mivv exhausts. One guy has pics of faults and also the response from Mivv. Probably worth a look if considering buying one. Here is link - http://www.apriliaforum.com/forums/showt...light=mivv

I had a Mivv on mine for several years and it was really well made.  I wouldn't let one whining internet post put me off buying one. Smile

They certainly look like a nice piece of kit. I only mentioned the link because i read it recently and thought i would post it, so people could see it.. I wasn't trying to discourage anyone buying them, as i have never owned one and i realise that forums can have good/bad reviews..
