Replacement exhaust for a Gen 1 Fazer - fazermike - 27-02-13 Hi guys, looking for a replacement exhaust for my 2001 gen 1 Fazer 1000 . I did have a quick look for a tread for this in the search but didn't found anything helpfull. I don't want to spend anymore than about £250 on one and would prefer one with a removable baffle and not too noisy. I have had Leovince and Fuel exhausts in the past and liked them also Remus. So any thought or recommendations would be great ![]() Re: Replacement exhaust for a Gen 1 Fazer - devilsyam - 27-02-13 I have a nice cheap as chip scorpian can but you will need a link pipe Re: Replacement exhaust for a Gen 1 Fazer - bludclot - 27-02-13 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Akrapovic-Slip-On-Exhaust-For-Yamaha-FZS1000-Fazer-2001-05-FZS-1000-FZ1-/221192892948?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item33801fb214 Re: Replacement exhaust for a Gen 1 Fazer - nickodemon - 27-02-13 Akrapovic are the best exhaust system, but will cost £300 + unless you buy a used one. Scorpion cans are mid priced and pretty good. I've got a stubby delkevic on mine, but the quality isn't quite as good as akrapovic, scorpion, fuel, arrows etc... But it was quite cheap and it was the look i was after. Re: Replacement exhaust for a Gen 1 Fazer - devilsyam - 27-02-13 were ya frame plugs nick? Re: Replacement exhaust for a Gen 1 Fazer - nickodemon - 27-02-13 Well spotted Luke.. It was an old pic before i fitted those lovely frame plugs i got from you :lol Re: Replacement exhaust for a Gen 1 Fazer - Lez72 - 27-02-13 Hey Nickodemon. Slight change of subject but what brand is your front Fender Extender ? I am looking for one that will adhere without having to put screws through my mudguard which it looks as if you have achieved. Awesome looking Gen 1 by the way 8) Re: Replacement exhaust for a Gen 1 Fazer - bludclot - 27-02-13 i stuck my front mudguard extender with tiger seal. no problems thus far.... i figured that if it's strong enough to hold body kit bits on cars...... I used a german make of silicone sealant that i used years ago and it's still attached ![]() Re: Replacement exhaust for a Gen 1 Fazer - sure2ride - 28-02-13 I've had Carbon Can Co slip-ons on mine, they were pretty good. Worth a look? You can see the pics on my album ![]() Re: Replacement exhaust for a Gen 1 Fazer - fazermike - 28-02-13 (28-02-13, 11:37 AM)sure2ride link Wrote: I've had Carbon Can Co slip-ons on mine, they were pretty good. I've just got that for my Fazer 8 off flea bay. Looks good quality but haven't fitted it yet, but I reckon it will be nice sounding and loks good in pics I have seen of it. ![]() Glad you like the carbon can ones tho, they both looked good on the bikes and sounded good too. Re: Replacement exhaust for a Gen 1 Fazer - nickodemon - 28-02-13 I read a post on the aprilia forum about Mivv exhausts. One guy has pics of faults and also the response from Mivv. Probably worth a look if considering buying one. Here is link - http://www.apriliaforum.com/forums/showthread.php?263933-MIVV-Exhaust&highlight=mivv Re: Replacement exhaust for a Gen 1 Fazer - Falcon 269 - 28-02-13 I had a Mivv on mine for several years and it was really well made. I wouldn't let one whining internet post put me off buying one. ![]() Re: Replacement exhaust for a Gen 1 Fazer - nickodemon - 28-02-13 They certainly look like a nice piece of kit. I only mentioned the link because i read it recently and thought i would post it, so people could see it.. I wasn't trying to discourage anyone buying them, as i have never owned one and i realise that forums can have good/bad reviews.. |
