My choke is stiff.

Went to the bike this morning and put the choke and I had to put effort into to it. It's been fine up until today. Any suggestions?

How cold was it? Could be water in the cable that has frozen.

Probably a bit of water and other crud in the cables. Lubricate the handlebar mechanism with oil (not wd 40 etc!) and lube the lining of the cable sleeve Smile

What lube should I use? I was tempted to but some WD40 on it but I didn't because it was close the my inlet rubbers and WD40 doesn't agree with rubber (so I have been told)

3-in-1 oil works well Smile Just use it sparingly or you will get lots of dirt etc sticking to where its applied.

Its a good idea to apply wd-40 first to drive any water or grit away.
