Presumably it starts off the button... that means the constant feed to the dash is interupted / cut any time the ignition is switched off... Fuse check then wiring check I'm afraid  Sad

Thats a coincidence Colin has the same problem on his and has been trying to sort for a while. Best he can figure is that that the live wire into the odometer / trip is shorted or disconnected. Problem is we can't figure out what colour the wire is - anyone know?

Have a look in the Downloads - bound to be a wiring diagram among them.

To set the clock:
  • Push both the SELECT and RESET buttons for at least 2 seconds
  • When hour digit starts flashing, push RESET button to set hours
  • Push SELECT to change to minutes
  • Push RESET to set minutes
  • Push SELECT to start the clock.

Robbie - I have had a fazer for years and when the clock goes back it takes me so long to remember how to fix it the clock is only right for a couple of months before it goes it other way

Ah well, fuses (the 4/5 in the fuse box are all OK), can't see any others. Can't see a r/bu wire, but I ain't stripping anything out to look either :lol

So looks like it'll have to stay the way it is for the mo.

thanks for that Andy Clap I will print it off & stick it in my key case!

I know what you mean Gingernutz, most of the time it doesn't bother me but sometimes i need to know what time it is when riding to see if the chippy is still going to be open!!
