It it sufficient just to disconnect fuel and run until it stops or do the carbs need to be drained too?

Cheers

Hi, I just put fuel stabilizer in the tank (E5 fuel) run it through and then top off the tank for the fuel system its never let me down.
For the rest just make sure its clean then protect everything , wax spray is good for paintwork etc and a wax for your chain too , outside try keep tyres off the ground, remove the battery or trickle charge.
Mine is kept outside so after prep and treatment I use some cardboard around the engine, soft old towels over the top ,an old duvet and two covers ( one is never enough  Big Grin), thick cardboard under the tyres.
Oiling like others have said, lube the stand.
Happy storage  Cool
