Lights on Start Up? Unusual

For the FZS600 this is a normal diagnostic test. Its also a clue if when you press the starter, these lights come on and stay on until you release the button but the engine doesn't turn over that you have turned the kill switch off. I suspect the FZS1000 is the same

Thanks for this. Being the sad act that I am (!!), I've watched a FZS600 start up video. On ignition on, the neutral light comes on only, then on physical start (with the starter button) the oil, fuel and temp lights flash on an off briefly (rather as mine is!!) leaving the neutral light on. 

The only difference is, my oil, fuel and temp lights illuminate on igntion on in addition to neutral, and then flash on again immediately after starting on the button.

Not that I'm obsessing or anything! So, I'll run for a few days and see what happens. You're right though - it's cycling a diagnostic run. The main this is, everything goes off.
