Cleaning up/polishing frame covers

They are painted / powder coated I think. So really your only option is to rub down and then either paint or polish. The foot rest hangers polish up nicely with Autosol.

I think you're right - they are definitely lacquered if not thinly powder coated with a clear finish.

I may buy a scabby used one to experiment with first before tackling mine!
