can someone identify this ticking noise.

I recently did  a DIY job on my motorcycle splitting the engine case and replacing second gear on my fzs1000. All went well and now i can dry my bike again woop woop.However i'm having an unknown ticking sound.

Have you checked where the sounds is coming from exactly, as in take a long screwdriver and place it against parts of the engine and then your ear against the end of the screwdriver handle... - like a stethascope.

Otherwise take it to a indipendant one man motorcycle mechaic and get him/her to listen to it.
