Back in the 80s and my first bike I had to ride in all weathers and my "waterproofs" were sh1t - it was a one piece over all and I remember there was always a little pond that gathered on the seat in front of my crotch (yes I know what I said  :lol )  I had to stand up on the footrests every now and then to drain the pond but I still ended up with a wet arse until about 2 pm until it was time to do it all again on the way home.

Then I had a big gap in my riding and in that time no doubt waterproofs got better but it was too late for me as I was already traumatised and vowed never to ride in the wet again.
