'LEDGear' gear indicator

I've fitted a 'modern' Chinese style one. I mainly wanted it to stop me going for 7th gear.
It works really well and the only downside I would say is it doesn't display the gear when stationary.
For 30 quid I can't complain and fitting is straightforward.

Forgive my simple thoughts but surely if your stationary then your either in N (little green light) or 1st (No little green light)? ??
