Looking at the video,my money would be on either the stand being twisted, or something causing rubbing at the joints. I don't reckon it's the springs.
As Unfazed says, if you take one of the bolts off, unhook the spring, then replace the bolt again and see if the stand still has that jerky movement and it will answer the question.
