Well you will probably wince when I say that I've only done 19,000 miles since new! My excuse is that i've had a lot of toys in my toy box in that time also. Obviously it's been meticulously maintained by me (never been stealer serviced). Nothing much has gone wrong except the battery which failed after 15 years. It's still in standard condition, original exhaust ect. Only mods I've done are lowering it (I'm 5' 2") and fitting heated grips and Baglux tank bag cover.
But its not quite the oldest bike, a few years ago we had a thread about the oldest bike and my May registration was the oldest at the time.
Not from new as I am the 3rd owner but I have owned it 18 years and is my only bike - always with the caveat, as per my signature.
At 5'8" and 9 1/2 stone (10 with a good Sunday dinner in me and before Monday
) it just seems to "fit" me - almost like it was designed for me. Cheap to maintain - thanks to this forum, so that is why I have kept it so long.Currently 22k on the clock.

Nearly 21 years (June 1998 I bought it). Still a good un. Only bike I have.
