How long have you owned your Fazer600?/ Is it your only bike? - vinnyb - 23-02-19
I'm just coming up to 2 years with my Fazer and have no plans to change it yet. Just wondering how long owners tend to keep them before they decide it's time to move on or is it your 'forever bike' particularly if it's the only bike you own.

had mine over 2 yrs now. have thought about getting something else but it does all i need it to and still makes me smile, will probably upgrade certain bits and keep it, nothing really out there thats as good as this for anything like the money. I do have an old bonnie collecting dust in the garage thats not seen the light of day for about 10 years (ongoing project)

Had my Fazer for about 3 1/2 years but it’s currently in bits awaiting a bit of a makeover/refurb and will become the missus’s second bike to keep the mileage down on her new VFR.
My current ride is a BMW R9T and I’ve also got a Triumph Daytona 955 which unfortunately needs a new head gasket after it blew on the dyno :'(
There’s also an old Triumph Trophy 1200 at the back of the garage which may eventually be treated to a CRK roadster kit.
Most likely it’ll just stay as a dust magnet :rollin

Had my 2001 Gold Fazer 4 days, brought it as a project for the summer
Already spent £150 on oil, spark plugs, brake pipes and filtersIt has done 40k miles so not that muchA little bit of TLC is all she needs, then my wife is likely to ride it for a few ride outs when the weather allows
My main bike is a Triumph Speed Triple

I bought mine new in 2001 and kept it until 2008, when I px'd it for a CB1000R. That was the longest I'd ever kept a bike.
I sold the Honda in 2011 and bought an '04 Gen1 which I have no plans to sell, but I'd still like a 600 to go with it!

I bought mine from new in November 2002, and still got it 48k miles later. Reason the mileage is so low
is that I've added 2 more bikes to the garage since. The Fazer is a keeper. I'll be buried with it like an Egyptian pharo :lol

Bought my 600 in November 2003, just over 91000miles on it now, bought a 06 fazer1000 off my son 6 years ago. Have a serow also, but thats in bits at the moment waiting to sort out a leaking base gasket and some painting of frame and swinging arm.
No intention of selling any of them at present

Six years here, and it’s the only bike over 125 I’ve ever owned.
Had 18k on it when I bought it, it’s on 78k now.

I've been riding for about 10 years now, one year on a CBF125 prior to my test. Passed my test and bought a FZS600. Unfortunatly I broke that one, so I went and bought another, same spec and colour. The FZS600 is the only big bike I've ridden and I can't see why I would want to change it.

It would be really interesting to learn from such a long keeper from new about any issues because you never know what the twat before you has done or how they have ridden/ kept it.
But its not quite the oldest bike, a few years ago we had a thread about the oldest bike and my May registration was the oldest at the time.
Not from new as I am the 3rd owner but I have owned it 18 years and is my only bike - always with the caveat, as per my signature.
At 5'8" and 9 1/2 stone (10 with a good Sunday dinner in me and before Monday

Well you will probably wince when I say that I've only done 19,000 miles since new! My excuse is that i've had a lot of toys in my toy box in that time also. Obviously it's been meticulously maintained by me (never been stealer serviced). Nothing much has gone wrong except the battery which failed after 15 years. It's still in standard condition, original exhaust ect. Only mods I've done are lowering it (I'm 5' 2") and fitting heated grips and Baglux tank bag cover.

snoooooopyyyyy - you know we like pictures on here, so lets have some. I have holes in the exhaust (collector area ) that I have filled and I still have the OEM exhaust by the skin of its thin steel. My battery is the original oem but I plug it in to an optimiser permanently after every ride.

Had my Mk1 Fazer for approx 2 years now.
VERY happy, it ticks most boxes, NOT planning to let it go any time soon (although the Mrs has other ideas!).
I had a Kawasaki Ninja before the Fazer, and while owning that always fancied a Naked Sports bike.
The Ninja unfortunately got written off, at which point my dream for a naked sports came true.

If that was somewhere near the oldest, then was the question ever asked of who has the highest mileage? Mine is at a paltry 50000km/31000 miles. Anyone gone past 200 000 miles?[/quote]
