headlight relays ?

had a similar problem years ago with a bates headlight

I fitted twin Bates headlamps on an FJ1200 and put 120 Watt bulbs in to try and improve things as they were awful headlamps, I then did the relay mod as someone pointed out that the existing wiring would struggle (or even fry) with the 120W bulbs. There was improvement but when I was parked next to my mates standard SV1000 his headlamp was FAR BETTER than my twin headlamps.
