There is a brilliant guide to install the mechanical speedo. The Thundercat speedo drive is a direct fit.

I bought the Thundercat speedo drive for £5 and sold my original electric speedo drive for £40 on eBay.

Yes the taillight is built into the rear frame and it was a custom job, not bought pre-made on eBay.

The welder is based in West Drayton, near Heathrow. He is the best, he built the rear frame on my prior XJ600 which unfortionately was stolen.
