From personal experience if properly maintained a chain will need very little adjustment once it has gone through the initial stretching process from new. So it's just a question of measuring rather than adjusting the slack to confirm everything is OK. So unless I am missing something this seems to be a solution to a problem that doesn't exist and actually makes a simple job like adjusting the chain more complex than it needs to be :\

As a suggestion posting your question in the General section of the forums would give you a wider range of people who may have had experience of this product.
