help! I've got a hole in me seat, man!
#1
Yeah, noticed it last week. A hole - not a tear - kind of oval and a few mil across. On the vinyl seat of my '01 FZS600. No idea how it happened, but I'm now trying to figger out how to repair it. If it was a tear, I'd probably just put some vinyl underneath and glue the "flap" down. But it's a proper hole.
My first idea:
1. slip a piece of similar vinyl (a bit bigger than the hole itself) into the hole
2. spread it out so it covers the hole from underneath
3. work some glue around under the rim of the hole
4. leave the glue to dry under pressure from the foam inside the seat

That's all I got. Three questions for you brilliant lovely people:

(a) Does that sound about right as a remedy?
(b) Any other ideas?
© What kind of glue do you think? I thought the kind you get in bicycle repair kits...

Thanks folks,

Malc
