Depends a lot on how often you plan on carrying a pillion, will it be long distance or just a lift, etc.
You don't really want to keep messing with the rear shock for instance if it's just for the odd occasion, because it'll spoil the bike when you're out on your own again.
I always have my rear tyre at 40psi anyway, others prefer 42psi, and that's without a pillion, although I do have a permanent top box fitted.
