I have joined the green wires and soldered brown one to them - just checked the photo and yes, you can't see it, but I did. 
Stupid angle to take the photo though, I admit. Will check the fuses, if it comes to worst - I just need to run one cable from the headlight to the back to resolve it for now or trace it back to the origins and run it from where it starts (or should start). Brake lights are working, number plate light is a by-product of tail lights, if there should be two bulbs lit then it will be. Will try to check it tomorrow. Did discuss bringing bike to the living room for few days, until I get this sorted, but lost the vote... )
