I would beg to differ, I would want the bike back and if the tracker was to enable the conviction of the thief who stole it that would be quite satisfying. There are many trackers on ebay and amazon these days prices between £10 and £25 which use a pay as you go sim card, which you can get for as little as £6 a month. It is something I have been thinking about doing for a little while.
