That can include where if you've topped up your oil with a different type, that can make a difference?
I'm about to change oil and filter on my Gen 1 Fazer thou which has clutch rattle in first gear when engine is cold - hoping it cures it and that's the advice I will be following.
It is the cheapest and quickest cost option to try and eliminate the problem imho. Clutch change requires and oil and filter change anyway, so why not see if it cures it firstly?

Definately has the correct oil - Fuchs Silkolene 10W40 at the last oil change, and topped up with that ever since. I dont use anythign else for the Fazer.

I think your right, maybe I have noticed something thats always been there, im not sure :lol

They all do it and it is worse if the carbs are out of synch.
carbs have not been done in a while - thats on my list for winter anyway as well as another filter/oil change so I will see what its like come spring time.
