Has anyone replaced sprocket cover/Shift shaft seals with roller bearings ???

Ok this might be a crap idea but if you don't try, I guess you don't know


I'm thinking of replacing the seals for the shift shaft on my sprocket cover with sealed roller bearings that I used to use in radio control cars.
Was just thinking it might give the shaft a little extra stability 


Has anyone else tried this ?
