Did you try to learn on the pre-2004 Fazer 600, or on the Post-2004 FZ 6 Fazer ? They're different bikes.
either way, if it's the foods position that's an issue, I'd suggest you find a good local engineering firm (with a lean towards bikes), I'm sure it can be done for a reasonable cost (try some of the people who advertise in Classic and Motorcycle Mechanics magazine.
A friend of mine who had only one leg got a peg kit make 20 years ago which helped him ride and control his bike again (even though his XS1100 had a sidecar attached).
Hopefully you get sorted and get out on the road properly soon.
